Background

As of mid-October, we have discontinued group insurance with Hollandzorg. All then policyholders received a letter from Hollandzorg about this (by email and by mail).

This letter stated that the group insurance through us/Hollandzorg has been terminated. Hollandzorg also indicated that if an employee does not take action himself, the insurance will automatically be converted to individual insurance with Hollandzorg, with the employee having to pay the premium himself.

Subsequently – to the best of our knowledge – a request for payment was also made by Hollandzorg to the employees to meet the premium.

We then re-enrolled all employees who were covered by the group insurance with Zorg en Zekerheid. Currently, we are seeing about 30% of employees successfully enrolled. However, most of them fail with the following message:

This shows that employees have not terminated their insurance with Hollandzorg, so it has now continued as individual insurance.

Because this is individual insurance (i.e., no longer through our collectivity), we do not have access to documents such as the policy, S1 forms or status updates. This may and can only be viewed or retrieved by the employee. We as the employer are also not allowed to cancel the individual insurance – this can only be done by the employee himself.
